Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ اسْمِي، ، وَكُنْيَتِي، فَإِنِّي أَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ، اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُعْطِي، وَأَنَا أَقْسِمُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not combine my name and my kunyah within yourselves (either keep my name or only my kunyah), because my kunyah is Abu al-Qasim. Allah grants and I distribute.
