حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَجْلَانُ، مَوْلَى الْمُشْمَعِلِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا تُسَابَّ وَأَنْتَ صَائِمٌ، فَإِنْ سَبَّكَ إِنْسَانٌ فَقُلْ: إِنِّي (٢) صَائِمٌ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you is fasting, he should not utter any abusive or foul words, and if someone wants to fight or abuse him, he should simply say, "I am fasting."
