حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرِ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ (١) ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمْ فِرَاشَهُ فَلْيَنْزِعْ دَاخِلَةَ إِزَارِهِ، ثُمَّ لِيَنْفُضْ بِهَا فِرَاشَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي مَا حَدَثَ عَلَيْهِ بَعْدَهُ، ثُمَّ لِيَضْطَجِعْ عَلَى جَنْبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ، ثُمَّ لِيَقُلْ: بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، إِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ (٢) بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When any one of you wakes up at night and then comes to his bed, he should dust his bed with the edge of his lower garment, because he does not know what thing may have come onto his bed after him. Then he should say: O Allah, by Your name I lay my side on the earth, and by Your name I will rise. If You take my soul, then forgive it, and if You send it back, then protect it in the same way as You protect Your righteous servants.
