حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، وَجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ، وَعَبَّادِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِي الشَّجَرَةِ الَّتِي اجْتُثَّتْ مِنْ فَوْقِ الْأَرْضِ، مَا لَهَا مِنْ قَرَارٍ، فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ: أَحْسَبُهَا الْكَمْأَةَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ، وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ، وَالْعَجْوَةُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَهِيَ شِفَاءٌ لِلسُّمِّ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) came to his companions and they were expressing their opinions about that tree which rises from the surface of the earth and does not remain fixed. Some people said, "In our opinion, it is the mushroom." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The mushroom is a part of manna (which was sent down upon the Children of Israel), and its water is a cure for the eyes. And the Ajwa date is a date from Paradise and is a cure for poison."
