حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ كَانَ الْعِلْمُ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ " (١)،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades, some people from among the descendants of Persia would acquire it from there.
