حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَتَصَدَّقُ أَحَدٌ بِتَمْرَةٍ مِنْ كَسْبٍ طَيِّبٍ، إِلَّا أَخَذَهَا اللهُ بِيَمِينِهِ، يُرَبِّيهَا لَهُ كَمَا يُرَبِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فَلُوَّهُ - أَوْ فَصِيلَهُ - حَتَّى تَكُونَ لَهُ مِثْلَ الْجَبَلِ أَوْ أَعْظَمَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: When a servant gives charity from his wealth, Allah accepts it and takes it in His right hand, and just as one of you raises and nurtures a baby goat, likewise Allah nurtures it, until it grows in Allah’s hand and becomes as large as a mountain.
