Musnad Ahmad Hadith 9390

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) to demand his camel and he was harsh in his demand. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) intended to beat him, but the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Leave him, for the rightful person can speak." Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them), "Buy a camel of the same age as his camel and give it to him." The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) searched but could not find a camel of the required age; every camel was older than that. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then buy an older camel and give it to him. The best among you is the one who is best in repaying debts."
