حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ، وَالْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاسِطَ، فَمَاتَ حِينَ (٣) مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَعْتَكِفُ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا " (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan and also during the middle ten days, and in the year in which he (ﷺ) passed away, he observed i'tikaf for twenty days.
