حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَفْوَانَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ: " لَتَتْرُكَنَّهَا عَلَى خَيْرِ مَا كَانَتْ مُذَلَّلَةً لِلْعَوَافِي " يَعْنِي السِّبَاعَ وَالطَّيْرَ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A time will come when people will leave Madinah Munawwarah despite it being in the best of conditions, and only wild animals and birds will remain there."
