حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنْ رَضِيَتْ فَلَهَا رِضَاهَا، وَإِنْ كَرِهَتْ فَلَا جَوَازَ عَلَيْهَا " يَعْنِي الْيَتِيمَةَ (٤)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: (The permission of a virgin, mature girl should be sought regarding her marriage.) If she remains silent, then this will be considered as her permission, and if she refuses, then there is no justification for forcing her.
