حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: {يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا} [الزلزلة: ٤] ، قَالَ: " أَتَدْرُونَ مَا أَخْبَارُهَا؟ " قَالُوا: اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ: " فَإِنَّ أَخْبَارَهَا أَنْ تَشْهَدَ عَلَى كُلِّ عَبْدٍ وَأَمَةٍ، ، بِمَا عَمِلَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا، أَنْ تَقُولَ: عَمِلْتَ عَلَيَّ (١) كَذَا وَكَذَا يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا "، قَالَ: " فَهُوَ أَخْبَارُهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) recited this verse: "On that Day, the earth will declare its news," and said, "Do you know what is meant by the news of the earth?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) submitted, "Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) know best." He said, "The news of the earth means that the earth will testify about every man and woman regarding all the deeds they did while living on its surface, and it will say, 'You did such-and-such deed on such-and-such day.' This is what is meant by the news of the earth."
