Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ (٤) ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَطْفِئُوا السُّرُجَ،، ، وَأَغْلِقُوا الْأَبْوَابَ، وَخَمِّرُوا الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: At night, extinguish the lamps when you go to sleep, close the doors, and cover the food and drink.
