Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: There was a man who had never done any good deed except that he used to lend money to people and would say to his agent, "Take back from the one who can pay easily, and leave the one who is in difficulty, and forgive him. Perhaps Allah will forgive us." When he died, Allah asked him, "Have you ever done any good deed?" He said, "No, but there is one thing: I had a servant and I used to lend money to people. When I sent my servant to collect the debt, I would say to him, 'Take back from the one who can pay easily, and leave the one who is in difficulty, and forgive him. Perhaps Allah will forgive us.'" Upon this, Allah said, "I have forgiven you."
