Musnad Ahmad Hadith 8729

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) was sitting in his gathering narrating hadiths, when during this a Bedouin came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! When will the Hour (Day of Judgment) come?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) continued his conversation. Upon this, some people said that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) heard what he said but disliked it, and some people said that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did not even hear what he said. Until, when the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) had completed his talk, he said, "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?" He said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), here I am." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When trust is lost, then await the Hour." He asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is meant by the loss of trust?" He replied, "When matters are entrusted to those who are not qualified, then await the Hour."
