حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ شُبَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَائِمًا يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ، فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ: " مَنْ كَانَ أَصْبَحَ مِنْكُمْ صَائِمًا فَلْيُتِمَّ صَوْمَهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ أَصَابَ مِنْ غَدَاءِ أَهْلِهِ فَلْيُتِمَّ بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once on the day of Ashura, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) observed a fast and said to the companions (may Allah be pleased with them): Whoever among you has kept a fast should complete his fast, and whoever has eaten something in the morning should not eat or drink for the rest of the day.
