حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ (١) ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " لَيْسَ السَّنَةُ بِأَنْ لَا تُمْطَرُوا، وَلَكِنَّ السَّنَةَ أَنْ تُمْطَرُوا، ثُمَّ تُمْطَرُوا، وَلَا تُنْبِتُ الْأَرْضُ شَيْئًا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Famine is not that there is no rainfall; famine is that rain falls abundantly from the sky but nothing grows from the earth.
