حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَيُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: " جُهْدُ الْمُقِلِّ، وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he submitted in the court of the Messenger, "O Messenger of Allah! Which charity is the best?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The charity given by a person who is himself in financial difficulty, by working hard and giving charity (is the best). And (remember) begin charity with those who are under your responsibility."
