حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ابْنُ عَيَّاشٍ (٣) ، عَنْ، ، أَبِي حَصِينٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَعْتَكِفُ فِي كُلِّ رَمَضَانَ عَشْرَةَ أَيَّامٍ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْعَامُ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ، اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to observe i'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan every year, and in the year in which he passed away, he observed i'tikaf for twenty days.
