حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ النَّضْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تُفْتَحُ الْأَرْيَافُ، فَيَأْتِي نَاسٌ إِلَى مَعَارِفِهِمْ فَيَذْهَبُونَ مَعَهُمْ (١) ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ "، قَالَهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Soon lush and green lands will be conquered, and people will move from here to there with their belongings, although if they knew, Medina would have been better for them. The Prophet (ﷺ) repeated this sentence twice.
