Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ " رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ شِقْصًا مِنْ مَمْلُوكٍ، فَأَجَازَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِتْقَهُ، وَغَرَّمَهُ بَقِيَّةَ ثَمَنِهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man freed a slave according to his share. The Prophet (ﷺ) validated this emancipation and made him responsible for the remaining price.
