حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ اللَّجْلَاجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَسُهَيْلٍ، عَنِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ (٣) عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ اللَّجْلَاجِ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " لَا يَجْتَمِعُ شحٌّ وَإِيمَانٌ فِي قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ، وَلَا يَجْتَمِعُ غُبَارٌ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ، وَدُخَانُ جَهَنَّمَ فِي وَجْهِ عَبْدٍ " (١) ، قَالَ حَمَّادٌ: وَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا الْقَعْقَاعُ بْنُ اللَّجْلَاجِ: وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ اللَّجْلَاجُ بْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Faith and miserliness cannot coexist in the heart of a Muslim, just as the dust from striving in the way of Allah and the smoke of Hell cannot coexist in the nostrils of a Muslim.
