حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، وَسُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبِي طُوَالَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ عِلْمًا مِمَّا يُبْتَغَى بِهِ وَجْهُ اللهِ، لَا يَتَعَلَّمُهُ إِلَّا لِيُصِيبَ بِهِ عَرَضًا مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، لَمْ يَجِدْ عَرْفَ الْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " قَالَ سُرَيْجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: يَعْنِي رِيحَهَا (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever acquires knowledge by which Allah's pleasure is sought, only to gain worldly goods, will not even smell the fragrance of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection.
