حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " تَفَرَّقَتِ الْيَهُودُ عَلَى إِحْدَى، أَوِ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً، وَتَفَرَّقُ أُمَّتِي عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The Jews were divided into seventy-one or seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will be divided into seventy-three sects.
