Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو هَانِئٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ (١) الْغِفَارِيَّ، أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَتْبَعُ الْحَرِيرَ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فَيَنْزِعُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would avoid silk garments and would take them off.
