Musnad Ahmad Hadith 8171

And the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty created Adam (peace be upon him) in His own image, and his height was kept at sixty cubits. After the creation, He said to him: Go to that group which consists of angels sitting in one place, and greet them with peace, and listen attentively to the reply they give, for that will be the opening words for you and your descendants at the time of mutual meeting. So Adam (peace be upon him) went there and said, "Peace be upon you." The angels replied, "Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah." Thus, they added "and the mercy of Allah." Now, every person who enters Paradise will be in the form and appearance of Adam (peace be upon him), and his height will be sixty cubits. However, in the world, after Adam (peace be upon him), the height of the creation kept decreasing continuously until it reached the present situation (which we are witnessing).
