حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْوَرْكَانِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو شِهَابٍ الْحَنَّاطُ عَبْدُ رَبِّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْلَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا أَعْيَانِي أَمْرُ الْمَذْيِ أَمَرْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " منهِ (٤) الْوُضُوءُ " اسْتِحْيَاءً مِنْ أَجْلِ فَاطِمَةَ (٥)، ، •
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) said:
When the issue of madhi bothered me a great deal, I told al-Miqdad to ask the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about it, and he said: `Wudoo` is due for it.` He felt shy [to ask about this matter] because of Fatimah.
