Original Arabic
قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ الْجَزَرِيِّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْ كَانَ الدِّينُ عِنْدَ الثُّرَيَّا، لَذَهَبَ رِجَالٌ (١) مِنْ فَارِسَ - أَوْ أَبْنَاءِ فَارِسَ - حَتَّى يَتَنَاوَلُوهُ (٢) " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: If knowledge were to be found even at the Pleiades, some people from among the sons of Persia would acquire it from there.
