حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ لُدَيْنٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ يَوْمَ (٢) الْجُمُعَةِ يَوْمُ عِيدٍ، فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا يَوْمَ عِيدِكُمْ يَوْمَ صِيَامِكُمْ، إِلَّا أَنْ تَصُومُوا قَبْلَهُ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: I heard him say that Friday is a day of Eid, so do not fast on the day of Eid except that you fast along with it on Thursday or Saturday.
