حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ،، ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُتِيَ بِرَجُلٍ قَدْ شَرِبَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " اضْرِبُوهُ ". قَالَ: فَمِنَّا الضَّارِبُ بِيَدِهِ، وَمِنَّا الضَّارِبُ (١) بِنَعْلِهِ، وَالضَّارِبُ بِثَوْبِهِ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ قَالَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ: أَخْزَاكَ اللهُ. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَقُولُوا هَكَذَا، لَا تُعِينُوا عَلَيْهِ الشَّيْطَانَ، وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا: رَحِمَكَ اللهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man sent a marriage proposal to a woman from the Ansar. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said to the man, "Look at her, for there is something (a defect) in the eyes of the Ansar."
