حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ أَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: " كُنْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي جَنَازَةٍ، فَأَمْشِي، فَإِذَا مَشَيْتُ سَبَقَنِي، فَأُهَرْوِلُ فَأَسْبِقُهُ، فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيَّ رَجُلٌ إِلَى جَنْبِي فَقَالَ: تُطْوَى لَهُ الْأَرْضُ وَخَلِيلِ (١) إِبْرَاهِيمَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I went with the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) to a funeral. When I was walking at my own pace, the Prophet (ﷺ) would go ahead of me. Then when I started running, I would get ahead. Suddenly, my eyes fell on a man at my side, so I thought in my heart, "By the friend Abraham! The earth is folded up for the Prophet (ﷺ)."
