Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا تَقُولُوا لِحَائِطِ الْعِنَبِ: الْكَرْمَ، فَإِنَّمَا الْكَرْمُ الرَّجُلُ الْمُؤْمِنُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not call a vineyard "Karam" (noble), for the real "Karam" (noble one) is the believing man.
