Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man brought a black non-Arab slave girl to the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), it is obligatory upon me to free a Muslim slave (can I free her?)" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked the slave girl, "Where is Allah?" She pointed towards the sky with her index finger. Then the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked her, "Who am I?" She pointed with her finger towards the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and towards the sky, meaning that you are the Messenger of Allah. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Free her."
