حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ زَمَانٌ يُخَيَّرُ فِيهِ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْفُجُورِ، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانَ، فَلْيَخْتَرِ الْعَجْزَ عَلَى الْفُجُورِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) say: "A time will come upon you in which a person will be given the choice between helplessness and immorality; whoever reaches that time should choose helplessness over immorality and prefer it."
