حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ (١) اللَّيْثِيِّ،، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَوْلَادِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فَقَالَ: " اللهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) about the ruling regarding the children of polytheists who die in infancy. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) replied that Allah knows best what deeds they would have performed if they had grown up.
