Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَأَمَرْتُهُمْ بِتَأْخِيرِ الْعِشَاءِ، وَالسِّوَاكِ مَعَ الصَّلَاةِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated marfu'an from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that if I did not fear hardship for my ummah, I would have ordered them to use the miswak at the time of every prayer and to delay the Isha prayer.
