Musnad Ahmad Hadith 7189

It is narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from Banu Fazarah came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My wife has given birth to a child of dark complexion." In fact, he wanted to present a request before the Prophet (ﷺ) not to attribute the lineage of the child to himself. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked him, "Do you have camels?" He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What is their color?" He said, "Red." The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Is there any gray-colored camel among them?" He said, "Yes, there is a gray-colored camel among them." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "How did the gray-colored camel come among the red camels?" He said, "Perhaps some vein has drawn this color." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then regarding this child, also understand that perhaps some vein has drawn this color."
