حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ، وَمَنِ انْتَظَرَ حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْهَا، فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ " قَالُوا: وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ؟ قَالَ: " مِثْلُ الْجَبَلَيْنِ الْعَظِيمَيْنِ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Whoever offers the funeral prayer for someone will receive a reward equal to one qirat, and whoever waits until the burial is completed will receive a reward equal to two qirats. The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked for clarification about the two qirats, so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Equal to two great mountains.
