حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ قَيْصَرَ التُّجِيبِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ، فَجَاءَ شَابٌّ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أُقَبِّلُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ؟ فَقَالَ: " لَا "، فَجَاءَ شَيْخٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أُقَبِّلُ وَأَنَا صَائِمٌ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ "، فَنَظَرَ بَعْضُنَا إِلَى بَعْضٍ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " قَدْ عَلِمْتُ نَظَرَ بَعْضِكُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ إِنَّ الشَّيْخَ يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that we were sitting with the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, when a young man came and said, "O Messenger of Allah! May I kiss my wife while fasting?" The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, replied, "No." After a short while, an elderly man came and asked the same question. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted him. At this, we began to look at one another. The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "I know why you are looking at each other. In reality, an elderly man can control himself."
