Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The meaning of 'for them are glad tidings in the life of this world' is that a believer who sees a good dream, it is a glad tiding for him, and good dreams are one forty-ninth part of prophethood. Whoever sees a good dream should relate it, and if someone sees a bad dream, it is from Satan so that he may grieve him. Therefore, he should spit three times to his left side and remain silent about it, not relating the dream to anyone."
