حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَ: أَقْبَلَ أَبُو كَبْشَةَ السَّلُولِيُّ، وَنَحْنُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ مَكْحُولٌ، وَابْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا، وَأَبُو بَحْرِيَّةَ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً، وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ، وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Convey from me, even if it is only one verse. You may also mention the stories of Bani Israel, there is no harm in it. And whoever attributes a lie to me should prepare his abode in Hell."
