حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: لَمَّا فُتِحَتْ مَكَّةُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " كُفُّوا السِّلَاحَ - فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى وَيَزِيدَ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ - وَأَوْفُوا بِحِلْفِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَإِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ إِلَّا شِدَّةً، وَلَا تُحْدِثُوا حِلْفًا فِي الْإِسْلَامِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Withhold your weapons from everyone except the Banu Khuza'ah." Then the narrator mentioned the complete hadith and said: "Fulfill the agreements of the time of ignorance, for Islam has only increased their strength. However, do not make any new agreements in Islam."
