Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) saw a gold ring in the hand of a companion (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (ﷺ) turned his face away from him. He threw it away and had a ring made of iron. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "This is even worse than that; this is the adornment of the people of Hell." He threw that away and had a ring made of silver. The Prophet (ﷺ) remained silent at this.
