Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ،، ، وَلَا ذُو عَهْدٍ فِي عَهْدِهِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "No Muslim should be killed in exchange for a disbeliever, nor should a dhimmi be killed during the period of his covenant."
