حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ (٢) ، وَسُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ يَسْتَأْذِنُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجِهَادِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَحَيٌّ وَالِدَاكَ؟ " قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: "، ، فَفِيهِمَا فَجَاهِدْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man came to the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to seek permission to participate in jihad. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked him, "Are your parents alive?" He replied, "Yes!" The Prophet said, "Then go and strive in their service."
