Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ: حُدِّثْنَا عَنْ (١) مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يِسَافٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " صَلَاةُ الْجَالِسِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "The reward for offering prayer while sitting is half of the reward for offering prayer while standing."
