Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا نَذْرَ إِلَّا فِيمَا ابْتُغِيَ، ، بِهِ وَجْهُ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، وَلَا يَمِينَ فِي قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "A vow is in those things by which Allah's pleasure can be attained, and there is no consideration in matters of severing ties of kinship."
