Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ (٢) ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أَعْطَيْتُ أُمِّي، ، حَدِيقَةً حَيَاتَهَا، وَإِنَّهَا مَاتَتْ فَلَمْ تَتْرُكْ وَارِثًا غَيْرِي؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: (١) " وَجَبَتْ صَدَقَتُكَ، وَرَجَعَتْ إِلَيْكَ حَدِيقَتُكَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the presence of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: "I had given a garden to my mother during her lifetime. Now she has passed away and she has no heir except me." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "You have received the reward of charity, and your garden has also returned to you."
