حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ نَكَحَتْ عَلَى صَدَاقٍ أَوْ حِبَاءٍ أَوْ عِدَةٍ قَبْلَ عِصْمَةِ النِّكَاحِ، فَهُوَ لَهَا، وَمَا كَانَ بَعْدَ عِصْمَةِ النِّكَاحِ، فَهُوَ لِمَنْ أُعْطِيَهُ، وَأَحَقُّ مَا يُكْرَمُ عَلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ ابْنَتُهُ أَوْ أُخْتُهُ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "If a woman marries in exchange for a dowry, gift, or present, then if it is before the marriage contract, it will belong to her, and after the marriage bond is established, it will belong to the one to whom it was given. And it is more rightful for a man to be honored because of his daughter or sister."
