حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تَمُرُّ بِنَا جَنَازَةُ الْكَافِرِ أَفَنَقُومُ لَهَا؟ فَقَالَ: " نَعَمْ قُومُوا لَهَا، فَإِنَّكُمْ لَسْتُمْ تَقُومُونَ لَهَا، إِنَّمَا تَقُومُونَ إِعْظَامًا لِلَّذِي يَقْبِضُ النُّفُوسَ " (١)، ، . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man asked the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, "O Messenger of Allah! If the funeral of a disbeliever passes by us, should we stand up?" The Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, replied: "Yes, you should stand up at that time as well. You are not standing for the disbeliever; you are standing in respect of the One who seizes the soul."
