حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ قَتَلَ عُصْفُورًا بغير حقِّه (١) سَأَلَهُ اللهُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا حَقُّهُ؟ " قَالَ: " يَذْبَحُهُ ذَبْحًا، وَلَا يَأْخُذُ بِعُنُقِهِ فَيَقْطَعُهُ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Whoever kills even a sparrow unjustly, Allah Almighty will question him about it on the Day of Resurrection." Someone asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What is its right?" He said: "He should slaughter it, not seize it by the neck so as to break it."
